Paul Barylan never wanted to be a hero
But the collection of telepathic powers he received forced him to step up and fight.
Awakening
When Paul Atreides Barylan turned 18, he inherited telepathic powers as a descendant of Grigori Rasputin, the powerful Russian psychic, and entered a secret organization known as the Grigori Research Association. The GRA protects hundreds of telepaths who work behind the scenes to ensure billionaires make more billions. They claim honor and service to society, but the reality is far darker.
Thanks to his strong bloodline link to Rasputin and other factors, Paul received more telepathic powers than anyone ever before, and sees through his parent's lies about the crimes they and their billionaire boss commit, including murder. Disgusted, he turns to the only people he trusts: friends with telepathic abilities.
This "First Four," consisting of Paul, his best friend Max, his girlfriend Junie, and her best friend Gemma, search for a way to stop new crimes committed by their rich New York City families and others. Gemma hates Paul, but as they fight together they grow closer and closer. The group soon finds allies, other telepaths and normals, including the FBI, to join their crusade.
Billionaires, however, fight to keep their billions, and they kill those who get in their way.
Uprising
After a major public success, Paul Atreides Barylan and his friends outline the First Four Initiative to push ethical behavior on telepathic Grigori members and their billionaire employers. A few CEOs express interest, but the majority use their Grigori enablers to fight back.
Gemma and Paul's relationship deepens, but she worries he'll dump her when he discovers her past. She runs to her grandmother, an empath, to uncover her true feelings. There, she develops a plan to reorganize the Grigori to serve rather than steal and murder.
The First Four's rising public profile doesn't stop the Grigori Council from attacking them in the media in New York City and with heavily-armed commandos in Jefferson, Texas. Paul suffers a huge personal loss and a complication to his life and mission, but vows to keep fighting.
The Four learn that Council leader Anton Kruschkov plans to turn the Grigori into a criminal organization, creating a mental powers Mafia. In addition, he brings The Annihilator from Europe to delete the telepathic abilities of all the group members, ending their threat to his dominance.
Protection from the police and the FBI can't shield the teens from an attack by Anton and The Annihilator. Facing mental erasure and probable death, one of the First Four discovers new abilities powerful enough to give them a chance to stay alive.

Final Battle
Paul Barylan becomes the “Most Famous Teen in the World” with all eyes on him constantly as he pledges to donate $5 billion of his enormous inheritance. Gemma, Junie, and Max step forward to lead the fight against the Grigori Council and the other telepaths refusing to stop their criminal activities. With a powerful new friend, the First Four demand the Grigori Council resign or face prison. They refuse and vow to destroy them.
Desperate for help, Anton combines his forces with part of the Russian Mob run by former classmates Chip and Lucy, both determined to get revenge against Paul and the others. One New York Mafia leader continues to help the group when needed, and the First Four returns the favor.
Trouble follows the group from their hidden 13th floor apartment in the Goldstone Building in New York City to their new mansion in Beverly Hills and a posh townhouse in London. When a friend double-crosses them, Anton and the London Grigori spring a trap to kill the entire First Four group.
Lynx News continues to spread lies as Grigori business leaders combine to tear down Paul and Goldstone Equity Management. Another member of the group suffers a devastating personal loss. When ambushed by Anton and Russian mobsters working together, will Gemma and Max’s increased powers be enough to save everyone?
